Carson Pocket Microscopes
Request from: Melanie Bitner – Emmons Elementary School

These pocket microscopes are great for students to learn more about the world around them – just close up! It can teach children more about everyday items, as well as plants, insects, fossils, rocks and minerals, and textures of items. I currently have 2 of these pocket microscopes in my classroom, and the kids LOVE them! They look at everything from the table, to a piece of paper, their skin, clothing, you name it! These pocket microscopes are simple to use, durable, and suitable for our K-6 students to use indoors and outdoors. They don’t need to be plugged in to a laptop and they can be used on almost any surface. Our PLTW modules and STEM experiences would be enhanced by having a set of these pocket microscopes so the whole class could use them at the same time.

8 Headphones with Mic

Request from: Jennifer Allen – 5th, 6th Exceptional Learners – LaSalle Elementary School

I have students that frequently do oral reading in my classroom.  Their school provided headphones do not have mics and the computer picks up everything.  These headphones would allow them to read with noise cancelling in the microphone so the software can better pick up the words they are reading.

Ozo Goes to the Earth, Moon and Sun

Request from: Jennifer Bare – LaSalle Elementary School

Students in many grade levels will benefit from seeing the Earth, moon, and sun in action with the Ozbots we already have.  Many students believe the sun moves around the earth and that the moon stays in one area all the time.  Some kiddos believe the sun is replaced with the moon in the evening.  This will offer coding and visual reference as the students see our universe in action!
