-
Summer Programs at JYMS is a half day of activities intended to boost learning for students while providing access to high interest enrichment activities like art, 3D modeling, construction shop, and physical activity. The end of the school year can cause a panic in parents. It doesn't matter if you're working full time or at home with the kids, the fears are the same: you don't want your children to spend their summer in front of the TV all day or texting as their only means of communication with the rest of the world. Kids need to stay active and occupied during the summer months to make sure they get the most out of their summer before heading back to school.
WHY SUMMER PROGRAMS AT JYMS ARE IMPORTANT:
When the research is analyzed, it becomes clear that summer learning programs shouldn’t be a luxury or just an afterthought when there’s nothing else to do. Summer learning has a real positive impact on both academic and social-emotional development. It provides structure to children’s summer experiences, making it more likely that they will stay engaged and focused and out of trouble. It also keeps their academic skills polished and in some cases, makes it possible for them to get ahead.WHO IT'S FOR:
