Quality early childhood experiences, whether provided by family or a formal program, increase a child’s ability to succeed in kindergarten. School readiness efforts support the development of skills, knowledge, and health. The goal is for every child to develop a lifelong love of learning. To support readiness and development, SCM will: offer a Kindergarten Kickstart Program, support smooth transitions into school, and administer the Kindergarten Readiness Assessment.

WHO CAMP IS FOR:

• Children registered to attend kindergarten for the 2024-2025 school year at one of the School City of Mishawaka elementary schools.
• Non-resident kindergarten students may enroll after receiving their approval letter to attend School City of Mishawaka for the 2024-2025 school year. Please select the assigned school in the enrollment form.
  
  

IN-PERSON INSTRUCTION:
Kindergarten Kick Start will be taught by our very own School City of Mishawaka (SCM) Kindergarten Teachers and offer developmentally appropriate activities that will include early literacy skills and math.
